In a clumsy attempt to give credibility to Andrew Mwenda, a Museveni spin doctor, Kayumba Nyamwasa is attacking him on Facebook. The terrorist, operating under the pseudo name Robert Patrick Fati Gakwerere, is attempting to sanitize his partners in CMI (Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence) with Mwenda’s help.

The RNC terrorist leader with CMI persecuted and tortured innocent Rwandans in illegal detentions facilities, cynically called ‘Safe Houses’. Innocent Rwandans are tortured in a bid to forced them to join RNC or confess to being ‘spies’. For years, Rwanda has denounced their schemes and presented hard evidence of the CMI-RNC tandem in violating Rwandans rights in Uganda.

Mwenda denounced ISO for operating safe houses and torturing Ugandans. He also accused ISO agents – he called them thugs – of robbing money from businessmen in places like Kikuubo, then torturing them ‘to confess they somehow are working with Kagame to overthrow Museveni. They hope that in the furry of debate, CMI will be forgotten.

In the recent case of 32 released Rwandans, it was CMI that featured in various correspondence with Ugandan Immigration. Andrew Mwenda could not explain why Rwandan immigration issues is handled by their Military Intelligence agency.

Although ISO is not innocent in the torture and persecution of Rwandans; it is a public fact, CMI is the lead agency in the torture and persecution of Rwandans. One Rwandan survivor who had to buy his freedom, Moses Ishimwe, narrated how even the top echelon of CMI is directly involved in torture. After he was beaten, starved and tortured by CMI to confess to spying, he had the unfortunate visit of the CMI top brass.

The CMI-RNC and Mwenda debate around ISO will not make Ishimwe, and hundreds of innocent Rwandans, forget that it was CMI and Kandiho who nearly killed him in with torture. Terrorist Kayumba Nyamwasa’s propaganda that Andrew Mwenda is a Rwandan agent for criticizing ISO is a diversion.

Facts are facts, CMI in conjunction with RNC are at the core of Rwanda-Uganda tensions in their pursuit to destabilize Rwanda.
